National Scrapbooking Day!!

I think my blog has been badly neglected....ooopsy....truth is I've been flying by the seat of my pants the last 6 month...sigh...who cares...blah blah....LOL...it's the weekend!!!!

 

Ready to find out another item you need to use on your layout?

 

Corrugated card board!  Cool stuff...adds sooo much texture to your layouts...and Fancy Pants has it is so many colours right now....matches all their new mid-releases....just sayin :)

 

If you do not have any corrugated card board just use kraft paper....close enough :)

 

Here is the layout I created with this month's kit...Swagger....and this kit has two sheets of corrugated cardboard, regular kraft and a soft grey...I used the soft grey in this layout, and I tore it by hand so it wasn't so perfect, sometimes things are not suppose to be perfect right?  This is one of them :)

the boys in blue...

so me and my sister are out shopping one night and the boys found these robes in JYSK and they each wanted one...they are really soft and warm...they didn't want a bag, they wanted to wear them :)

after all, the grocery stores are a little on the cool side...

been creating mixed media like crazy this month...

started an art journal...love it!  Olivia has one too...she does fabulous work :)

I have several finished pieces now, here is one...

my newest (ooops, not true) second newest equipment piece to the creative room....

Fell in love with this piece at Home Depot, can't have it :(

Already have a useful table (x2)

Saw Loverboy, Pat Benatar and Journey in September....

fun night :)

went to the fair....that was a fast $100 bucks...

they had fun tho...

Joshua's Lego entry won first place (phew!)

He was pretty excited!

and Olivia met the queen...it was perfect timing as she had been asking frequently about the queen around that time...

That's it for September...I think...probably not but I'm not going into another folder to look for more photos!  LOL

Still have plenty on my phone too...

oopsy...

busy times...no schedules in the summer time so I don't seem to get as much accomplished...

things are some what back to normal, school has started and vacation time is over (until March rolls around ;) )

The fall is like January to me...new starts for everyone here in our house, it's kind of refreshing.

It was a fun summer, very fast too, too fast....

spent lots of time at the trailer...

Josh wants me to fix up his "man cave"  he wants a tv mounted on the brick fireplace in "the cave"

so now I have the chore of trying to get rid of the old (and very large) tv so that "the cave" has a flat screen....

I still need to put quarter round or something on his Lego table too...all the Lego keeps falling off...

so much to do...

we won't get started on the other things that need to be done around here....

I have been wanting to get my nose pierced for quite some time...just a small diamond....I don't know what possessed me to ask Josh if it was ok, but I did.....to my surprise he said "NO WAY"  I think he was down right annoyed with me...LOL...."oh look...my teenager mother" ..LOL

I kind of expected conversations to be the other way around....lol

So he finally agreed that it was ok as long as I take it out when I am in public with him

so that he is not embarrassed....smirk....LOL

Good grief...tough crowd!

But at least I finally got his blessing...

Bought a new van :) stunning piece of machinery it is...

Toyota Sienna....unbelievable ride...and so much space...

perfect for bringing extra kids to the trailer...

we love it :)

Creating...

So I had this really great idea to have a scrapbook garage sale...I'm sure I can gather up some stuff and stick it all on a table to sell it...I have enough stuff...my goodness, way too much stuff!

So I did just that, my friends Cathy and Carrie came over and helped me price all my kits, I gathered up so much stuff...unbelievable really....and to think I still have more...

I made hundreds of dollars on my stuff....I'm pretty happy about that.

I think I will do this again in the fall, that will give me enough time to gather some more :)

I've had one week of holidays so far, was so wonderful to be off...

looking forward to my next set of holidays at the end of July..

Been creating...in my messy room....but I have two tables and once the Boys Rule kits are gone each month I have even more room!

Check out this super cute find!  Was at Home Sense today purchasing teacher gifts and found this little gem....a perfect place to hold my beverage so I won't have an accident on my scrapbook table :)

She this fabulous $20 canvas??  innocent little thing...has forced me to change the entire colour scheme of my scraproom!!!  My inspirational piece...
